Asbestos Removal
We handle asbestos removal and abatement for homes and commercial buildings across Northern California. Work runs under sealed containment with negative air machines, and the waste goes to a landfill approved to take it.
Asbestos floor tile removal takes out old 9x9 and 12x12 vinyl and asphalt tile and the black mastic under it. We do it in homes and commercial buildings across the Central Valley, the Bay Area and Sacramento. The tiles come up whole and wet, and the mastic comes off with hydro blasting at 40,000 psi. It is the flooring side of our asbestos removal and abatement work.
This has been a family company since 1967. It started as a homebuilder and spent decades in flooring before moving into environmental and demolition work. Today we hold CSLB #247684 and CAL OSHA #507. Cal/OSHA registration is required before asbestos work of 100 square feet or more.

The EPA lists vinyl floor tile as one place asbestos may be found in a home. The same list names the backing on vinyl sheet flooring and adhesives. Cal/OSHA assumes vinyl and asphalt flooring, with its mastic and backing, contains asbestos until an industrial hygienist clears it. Its flooring rules cover buildings built in 1980 or earlier, unless the floor has been shown to have no asbestos.
You cannot tell by looking at a tile, and the mastic and backing count too. That is why a certified asbestos consultant samples the floor before anyone lifts it. If the report comes back clean, the job moves to our flooring removal and surface preparation work. If it comes back positive, the floor comes up under Cal/OSHA's asbestos rules.
The risk starts when old flooring gets broken up. The EPA says exposure may occur only when asbestos material is disturbed or damaged. Sanding, grinding, dry scraping and ripping all do that, and they can release fibers into the air. Under the EPA's federal asbestos rules, asbestos floor tile that gets sanded or ground counts as regulated asbestos material.
Cal/OSHA classes asbestos floor tile, sheet flooring and mastic removal as Class II asbestos work, with its own rules. Tiles have to come up whole unless that is shown not to be possible. Sanding and dry sweeping are not allowed, and any scraping of leftover glue or backing has to be done wet. Mechanical chipping is allowed only inside a negative pressure enclosure.
Once the lab report confirms asbestos, we set up the work area. Every step runs wet, which keeps the dust down. The tiles come up whole, and any sheet vinyl is cut out with the cut point kept wet.
Next, water at 40,000 psi takes the black mastic off the slab, with full HEPA vacuum recovery. Waste is wetted, bagged, sealed and labeled before it leaves the building. It goes to a landfill permitted to accept asbestos waste. You get back a clean slab, ready for the next floor.

Tell us what needs to come down or come out, and where the property is. You talk to the people who run the work, not a call center.
We walk the job, check access and materials, and flag anything that needs an asbestos survey first. The estimate is free and it holds.
Demolition permits, air district notifications, utility disconnects: we handle the paperwork phase and tell you what the schedule looks like.
The crew does the work, debris gets hauled to the right facilities, and you get a site that is ready for whatever comes next.

We handle residential demolition across Northern California. That covers whole houses, garages, sheds, and mobile homes. Work starts with an asbestos survey and permits, then the teardown and haul-off. A family company since 1967.
Commercial demolition for retail buildings, small offices, warehouses and ag structures. We handle the asbestos abatement, the utility cuts, the teardown and the debris loads. Buildings up to two or three stories are our size range.
Interior demolition for remodels and tenant improvements across the Central Valley and Bay Area. We gut spaces down to the studs and hand back a clean shell your builder can start in.
We break out and haul away old concrete. Driveways, garage slabs, patios, walkways, foundations and footings all come out the same way. Broken concrete goes to a recycling yard and gets crushed into base rock.
Fire damage cleanup starts once the fire is out and the building is cold. We take down burned structures and haul the debris to permitted disposal sites. The lot is left clear for your rebuild contractor.
Asbestos is where demolition jobs go sideways. We carry CSLB #247684 and CAL OSHA #507, so the abatement and the teardown run under one contractor instead of two schedules.
The company started as a homebuilder in 1967. Decades of flooring work came next, and demolition grew out of it. The same family still runs the company.
We cover the Central Valley, the Bay Area, Sacramento and Santa Cruz. Modesto, Stockton, San Jose, San Francisco and the cities between them are all regular runs.
We price after looking at the building, the access and the survey. You get a real number before work starts, and the paperwork for every load when it ends.
